What's The Thing About Being 27?

Several months ago I wrote a blog about Wendy O. Williams. In this article I asked why is it that society insists upon killing off their most creative artists. Fortunatel Wendy the lived well past the age of 27. What I understand Wendy O.Williams was a fitness enthusiast and an animal lover. I don't know but these two factors may have help prolonged her life. But what about all these artists who died at age 27. Amy Winehouse has recently joined this club. I have no idea why one's twenty-seventh year seems to be such a popular time to cash in one's chips. Theonly thought that has occured to me off the top of my head is that 27 is a number representing greatness. Both former great NHL players, Frank Mahovilich and Darryl Sitler wore number 27 on the back of their jerseys.
The recent demise of Amy Winehouse has started me thinking about Kurt Cobain again. This also raises the question, can a great artist be a stable, well adjusted personality? My conclusion, unfortunately, is no. Pain appears to create great art.
